At MV Kids Dentists & Braces, we believe prevention is the best medicine. Our goal is to help your child enjoy a lifetime of healthy smiles by stopping problems before they start. We use modern, evidence-based preventive techniques tailored to each child’s needs.
We begin with a personalized Caries Management by Risk Assessment (CAMBRA). This thorough evaluation helps us understand your child’s individual risk for cavities and create a custom prevention plan. By addressing specific risk factors early, we can be much more effective at keeping your child cavity-free.
We use advanced AI-assisted radiographic technology powered by Pearl® to help enhance the detection of cavities and areas of concern on dental x-rays. This technology provides an additional layer of support during diagnosis, helping us identify potential issues earlier and improve communication with families through clearer visual explanations.AI technology does not replace the doctor’s clinical judgment — it serves as an advanced tool to support more precise, preventive-focused care.
Professional fluoride varnish strengthens enamel and helps prevent decay. For children at higher risk or with early cavities, we may recommend Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) — a painless, non-invasive treatment that can stop cavities from progressing without drilling.
For early enamel demineralization and white spot lesions, we offer advanced remineralization including Curodont Repair (a biomimetic peptide-based treatment).
Curodont uses innovative self-assembling peptide technology to penetrate early lesions and promote natural guided enamel regeneration by attracting calcium, phosphate, and fluoride from saliva. This helps repair and strengthen tooth structure without drilling or injections — making it an excellent option for children.
We may also use MI Paste or hydroxyapatite-based products depending on your child’s specific needs.
We teach age-appropriate brushing, flossing, and dietary habits at every visit. We also provide custom-fitted sports mouthguards to protect your child’s smile during athletics.
Our general recommendations:
Fluoride toothpaste (smear for under 3, pea-size for 3–6)
Supervised brushing until age 7–8
Flossing as soon as teeth touch
Regular dental visits every 3–6 months depending on risk level
